Yesterday we had a very busy morning at preschool. We were lucky enough to win two scoops of wonderful garden mix for our new vegetable garden area, from Garden Box (formerly Parkhouse Landscape Supplies). Armed with wheel barrows, trolleys, buckets and spades we worked together to unload the trailer load of soil and transport it around to the garden area. Wow our children are such fantastic helpers! They also had opportunities to practice leadership, participating and caring for our preschool.
We can’t wait to do more planting next week, and the pea straw we were also given will help to make a fantastic scarecrow. Be sure to check out our garden the next time you are in. It’s looking great and we can’t wait till it’s time for harvesting.
